Violet has been loving gymnastics.

She's quite the climber by nature and is very physical in general.

Gymnastics is helping her to get stronger and develop better balance.

The obstacle courses the teacher creates each week also helps her to learn to focus.

Violet the Ballerina

It's such a joy watching Violet do ballet.

I love that she feels comfortable enough to do the class, and actually thrive in it.

A year a go this was not the case. She had so much anxiety about it that we decided to pull her out of the classes. Now that she's getting a bit older and has been there for a while she looks forward to it so much. It also helps that she has Ms. Nicole. We love Ms Nicole! She's been Pen's and Vi's teacher now for several years and we think she is the best!

This was parent observation day. 

Things got a little rowdy towards the end because the babies started acting up, but once they got a chance to join in on the dancing everyone was having a good time.

Violet's spring sing

Violet Mae recently had her Spring Sing at her preschool.

We are always tickled when Violet decides she actually wants to perform on stage-- because she can be HIGHLY unpredictable when it comes to these types of things... or highly predictable on the side that she probably, most likely won't do it.

She did do it however and did a great job.

Violet's 1st School sing

Another huge triumph this year was watching Violet perform in a school sing!

She didn't do it at all her first year of preschool-not for the Christmas or the Spring performance.

So you can imagine how shocked I was to see her actually walk down the aisle and perform, and not just perform but do it with such zest!

Seriously the cutest thing ever.

Violet's First Performance- on stage...

One of the highlights of my Christmas holidays, heck the entire year- was getting to finally watch Violet perform on stage. I have waited for this moment. Violet is one of the most "colorful" people I know, and one example of that is through her song and dance- which we at home get to see plenty of. 

I knew she had the desire, but what she lacked was the nerve.

It definitely helped that her best bud and cousin shared the stage with her.

I'm just so proud of this little four year old.

She's going to take this world by storm.
