Violet the Ballerina

It's such a joy watching Violet do ballet.

I love that she feels comfortable enough to do the class, and actually thrive in it.

A year a go this was not the case. She had so much anxiety about it that we decided to pull her out of the classes. Now that she's getting a bit older and has been there for a while she looks forward to it so much. It also helps that she has Ms. Nicole. We love Ms Nicole! She's been Pen's and Vi's teacher now for several years and we think she is the best!

This was parent observation day. 

Things got a little rowdy towards the end because the babies started acting up, but once they got a chance to join in on the dancing everyone was having a good time.

Pen rocks the Nutcracker

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is to take Penelope to the Nutcracker ballet- and now Violet too!

This year though, Penelope got to be IN the Nutcracker!

Her class were "Bon Bons" in the act with Mother Ginger.

It was such a HUGE experience for Pen.

Not only did she have multiple rehearsals (and all in the evening), but she had the chance to see the show from backstage. Getting to see all the performers so up close and in full costume is just magical.

She did such a great job, and we couldn't be more proud of her!

What a fun way for her little sis Violet to get to see the Nutcracker for the first time... watching big sis!

Thumbelina

Penelope had her third ballet performance with Gustafson ballet today.

She was a honeybee in the production of Thumbelina.

Its amazing to see how much she's grown in just one year.

Such a happy little confident performer we have on our hands.
