SUNDAY AFTERNOON IN WINE COUNTRY

A couple weeks a go we went to the Santa Ynez valley for some wine tasting with our friends from church. Several of them moved up there so it was nice to visit the wineries where they were members. We started out at Starlane, then Casa Cassara (which was great for kids because there was a play area for them) and finished up at our tasting room Alexander and Wayne in Los Olivos. What a great way to spend a lazy Sunday. Its so nice that most of our friends have kids now or are expecting. Its really neat to see us all enter this new phase of our lives around the same time. I love it.
Cheers!

Mini Moto

So as most of my friends and family know I am living vicariously through my tiny daughter as I shop and dress her. It is seriously so much fun! You know everything you put on them is going to be so cute, and Pen def has a way of pulling off a certain look. She is already developing her own "signature" style! LOL! I love it. One of my favorite outfits so far is this too cute mini moto jacket. Now I just have to get a matching one and we will be unstoppable! ;P

a mini model in the making! Look at that pose!

Glam Halloween

I love the Tomkat Studio blog. This Halloween Party definitely puts a more girly, sophisticated spin on the typical Halloween party. Check out the link below for all the pics. Adorable!

Winemaker dinner, and Ziggy sings for P!

This past weekend was action packed and so much fun! We started our Saturday with a little outdoor workout for the whole family (see James and Gracie below) Way to multi-task! I of course am behind them strolling the baby.

On Sunday we took Penelope to her first concert on her 11 month birthday!
Penelope loves Reggae, it always does the trick to calm her down in the car.
This was Ziggy at the Arlington Theater. We went with James dad and family.
It was so much fun!

Happy 11months P! She loves to explore, smirk, clap her hands, stick out her lip and my favorite- sing. Whenever I start singing she likes to sing along. Maybe she'll be a singer like mommy? She is so precious and brings us so much joy everyday. I am living my dream by being a mommy. It is so much more than anything I could have ever expected.
We love you P!

Friday at the Harris's

This past weekend was so fun I forgot to tell you about how we kicked it all off! Our good friends the Harris's had us over for dinner Friday night. They live up in Solvang so we were invited to stay over- which of course we did because it gave us that much more time to visit! Alisse and Jon have the Great Home Makeover Blog and I am so impressed with how much work they have done on their home. In just two short years they have almost completely transformed their house. Well we were there to celebrate the long anticipated arrival of their beautiful green granite countertops- the finale to their gorgeous kitchen! And a weekend in the valley wouldn't be complete without a little wine tasting. Alisse took us to Avant- a really cool wine tasting room that keeps all their wines in a card operated fountain system. Yep that's right, just put your card in and choose a tasting, half glass or full glass. NO fuss just great wine. They serve super yummy tapas there too so of course we had to try a few. The sausage and peppers were to die for and the cheese plate was delicious as well. Thanks Jon and Alisse for a great weekend! We love you guys!
A flock of turkeys like to visit Jon and Alisse's backyard!

What would a Saturday morning be at the Harris household without a yummy brunch?

Make note, I must give Alisse my bar table and stools!
Here are her parents kickin' it with P on the kitchen floor!

SUPER SUNDAY

Sunday went by incredibly fast. We started out at the zoo for the annual NICU party. All the graduates from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit get to come together each year for a fun party that includes a bounce house, cupcakes, crafts and if its your first time- each child gets to put their hand print on a tile to be placed in the NICU at Cottage. So cute. After that I took Penelope to Climb Time Yoga! This class was super fun. All the babies got to crawl around and play with balls while the moms got to get a great workout. Luckily they had a designated staff member there to keep an eye on the kiddos. Really made a difference!

P's pal Kenzie dropped by to say hello

The Masons were there taking thumbprints

This will be on the wall of the NICU with her name!
